LandCruiser 70 Series - Order Pause

Toyota Australia has paused order-taking for the LandCruiser 70 Series as a customer-focused measure, due to supply and demand factors that have resulted in extended wait times for customers.

Available supply is being impacted by ongoing production disruptions being experienced by the global automotive industry.

At the same time, the model's popularity among Australian customers remains at historical highs due to its rugged capabilities.

Toyota Australia's Vice President Sales, Marketing and Franchise Operations, Sean Hanley, said Toyota has made this decision amid an evolving situation.

"The Toyota team has been working diligently to deliver a record number of vehicles with extraordinary support from our parent company. At the same time, strong demand and industry-wide supply challenges globally mean we simply cannot fulfil orders more quickly.

"Therefore, we have decided to pause new customer orders for the LandCruiser 70 Series. Dealers will be in direct contact with customers about wait times for individual existing orders over the coming months.

"We are monitoring the global supply situation closely and will continue to make decisions based on the best interests of our customers and dealers.

"I understand this news will be disappointing and want to sincerely apologise to our customers and assure them we will continue to provide updates as further information becomes available."

Dear Valued Guests

There is no doubt COVID-19 has heightened our awareness of health and safety concerns.  So we thought you might want to know what steps we're taking to keep our staff and guests safe.

Precautions we are taking include:

  • Taking every team member's temperature each morning
  • Making hand sanitiser readily available throughout the dealership
  • Informing and educating our staff on hygiene and social distancing
  • Encouraging our team to take time off if they show any signs of ill health 
  • Disinfecting counters, tables, and furniture twice daily
  • Increasing the depth of our nightly site clean

If you are still concerned about having your vehicle serviced you may wish to use our Contactless Service Option.  Simply follow the instructions:

  • Drop your keys off in our Early Bird Key Box located on the wall at Service
  • Pay over the phone when your car is completed
  • Pick up your keys and you're away

We will continue to stay up to date with the latest government advice and commmit to doing whatever is required to minimise risk for all staff and guests.
