Environmental Policy at Warrnambool Toyota

Committed to the Environment

Warrnambool Toyota and Toyota Australia are committed to the highest standard of environmental management and governance.

Toyota has an environmental management system certified to the international standard ISO 14001. Environmental strategy is set by the Environmental Committee.

Energy and Greenhouse Gas Emissions

Warrnambool Toyota and Toyota Australia look for opportunities to improve energy efficiency and reduce greenhouse gas emissions.

Toyota uses natural gas and electricity at its production site at Altona and at non production sites around Australia. The company monitors and reports on its energy use and greenhouse, continually looking for improvement opportunities.

Resource Usage

Warrnambool Toyota and Toyota Australia will continue to focus on reducing waste and making the best use of resources. These include raw materials used in the vehicle manufacturing process, and water and paper used across the company. Wastes include both production and non production general waste, prescribed waste and packaging waste.

Contributing to a Low Carbon Society

Toyota Australia will develop lower emissions vehicles and work with Governments to develop appropriate standards and measures regarding vehicle emissions and pollutants.

In 2011 a Carbon Working Group was established to understand and manage the impacts of the clean energy future legislation and develop a model to ensure the financial implications of the carbon prices are considered in strategic and operational planning.

Dear Valued Guests

There is no doubt COVID-19 has heightened our awareness of health and safety concerns.  So we thought you might want to know what steps we're taking to keep our staff and guests safe.

Precautions we are taking include:

  • Taking every team member's temperature each morning
  • Making hand sanitiser readily available throughout the dealership
  • Informing and educating our staff on hygiene and social distancing
  • Encouraging our team to take time off if they show any signs of ill health
  • Disinfecting counters, tables, and furniture twice daily
  • Increasing the depth of our nightly site clean

If you are still concerned about having your vehicle serviced you may wish to use our Contactless Service Option.  Simply follow the instructions:

  • Drop your keys off in our Early Bird Key Box located on the wall at Service
  • Pay over the phone when your car is completed
  • Pick up your keys and you're away

We will continue to stay up to date with the latest government advice and commmit to doing whatever is required to minimise risk for all staff and guests.

If you have any questions regarding our COVID-19 policy please let us know by calling 03 5559 0000 or email us
